The live action Gintama movie will be available for rental and purchase on DVD and Blu-ray on Nov. 22 as well as digital download in Japan from Oct. 25.
Written and directed by Fukuda Yuichi, the movie stars Oguri Shun as the protagonist Gintoki and has just opened in China where it is proving to be a box office hit.
The premium edition Blu-ray will feature a visual commentary from Oguri and Fukuda as well as a making of, interviews, events footage, deleted scenes, and blooper reel. The set will also come with 15 movie ticket sized character postcards.
The live action TV drama, Gintama Mitsuba-hen, in which Oguri Shun, Yagira Yuya, and Yoshizawa Ryo also featured, will be released alongside the main movie on Nov. 22.
