Luffy Appears in Japan’s Warring State Period for 2017’s FNS 27 HRS Television Event!

The Fuji TV long special program FNS 27 HRS Television will air beginning on Sept. 9 at 6:30 pm. The title of this 31st special will be FNS 27 HRS Television: Japan's History, and it will include collaborations with Dragon Ball Super, Chibi Maruko-chan, One Piece, and Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kouen-mae Hashutsujo.

2017’s FNS 27 HRS Television is bigger than ever, diving into the theme of history with a wide variety of genres including variety shows, dramas, news, and sports, and these 4 anime will get to be a part of it as well!

The early cuts show characters we know and love in ways we’ve never seen them before including Son Goten and Trunks of Dragon Ball Super running around in the Yayoi period, Maruko-chan and the others of Chibi Maruko-chan dressed in kimono, Luffy of One Piece slipping into the Warring States period, and Ryo of KochiKame as famous samurai Sakamoto Ryoma.

The main characters of each series meet each other in the opening dressed as historical figures before setting off into the incredible story. The air time of each work hasn’t been revealed yet, but fans won’t want to miss out! The history of Japan will be explained in an easy-to-understand way using popular characters, and it’ll be fun for children and adults alike. FNS 27 HRS Television: Japan's History will air at 6:30 pm on Sept. 9 and last until 9:24 pm the next day.
