The stage play of Tokyo Ghoul will be returning after a two year hiatus!
Originally performed in Tokyo and Kyoto in 2015, this play will begin encore performances in Tokyo and Osaka later this year. The main visual of the cast was revealed recently and it was announced that Matsuda Ryo, who played Kaneki Ken in 2015, will be reprising his role.
Popularity for the dark fantasy series of Ishida Sui continues to climb, which only spells good news for the stage play. As of Apr. 2017, Tokyo Ghoul has had over 22 millions copies printed. Even though it was first serialized in Weekly Young Jump back in Sept. 2011, the sequel to the series ( Tokyo Ghoul:re ) is still going strong. In fact, a live-action film will premiere this summer on July 29!
