Gintama Live Action Event to Be Held in Kyoto!

Gintama will be collaborating with Toei Kyoto Studio Park and Keifuku Electric Railroad Arashiyama Line to commemorate the July 14 release of the live action movie Gintama!
Titled “Commemorating the Release of the Live Action Film Gintama: Kyoto Bururun Taizaiki”, the event will be held in two periods, the first from May 27 to July 6 and the second from July 8 to Sep. 3.

It will include a stamp rally, a special train, an experience-based exhibition, as well as other attractions. It will even cross over with the anime!

The stamp rally will have six stations located at Toei Kyoto Studio Park and along the Arashiyama Line (filming locations for the movie). Those who collect all six stamps will get presented with an original tin badge.

The special wagon will be dressed in Gintama from the head mark down to the advertisements on the inside. It is detained at Arashiyama on weekends and holidays, so passengers can get on and off freely, enjoying the world of Gintama.

If you go to Toei Kyoto Studio Park, you will literally feel like you were just transported into the movie thanks to the real movie sets, new voice-recordings from the characters, as well as life-sized panels featuring original anime visuals drawn for the event.
