Popular series Ghost in the Shell is getting a brand new anime project!
The new anime will be directed by Kamiyama Kenji who directed the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series, and Aramaki Shinji who directed the Appleseed series. Furthermore, it was also announced that the animation will be produced by studio Production I.G.
The Ghost in the Shell franchise first began as a manga by Shirou Masamune in 1989. It was followed by several anime and animated film adaptations in the early 2000s and has also expanded into other media including novels and games. Fans can finally look forward to emerging in the GitS anime world again after years of waiting! Stayed tuned for updates!
