Digimon Adventure tri. revealed the poster visual for the upcoming fifth part Symbiosis!
Symbiosis is the newest, fifth part of the Digimon Adventure tri. film series, which is a sequel to the original Digimon Adventure series. The first part, Reunion (November 2015) became a huge hit grossing 230 million yen with an attendance of 146,000. Part 2: Determination followed in March 2016 with 160 million yen, then Part 3: Confession with 130 million yen in September 2016. Meanwhile, Part 4: Loss which premiered on Feb. 25 has brought in 120 million yen.
The visual features Mochizuki Meiko and what looks like a different form of her partner Digimon Meicoomon along with Yagami Hikari and Ophanimon Falldown Mode, the Ultimate Form of her partner Digimon Gatomon. You can feel Meiko’s sorrow from both her facial expression and body language, and even the always upbeat Hikari looks somewhat sad. What does the story hold?
Symbiosis is slated for release in 2017, but the exact date hasn’t been revealed yet. More details are to follow soon, so stay tuned!
