The Oushitsu Kyoushi Heine ( The Royal Tutor ) anime adaptation was only just recently announced, and it’s now been revealed that it will air this spring! A teaser PV has also been released along with comments from the staff including director Kikuchi Katsuya.
Oushitsu Kyoushi Heine is a royal family comedy manga by Akai Higasa serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly GFantasy. Its story follows Heine Wittgenstein, who was invited to the kingdom of Grannzeich to raise the four unique princes into candidates for the position of its king, and he grows close to them as their “royal tutor.”
Despite his child-like appearance, Heine is a talented educator who takes on the challenge of teaching the “glaring prince” and second in line, Kai, the “high pressure intelligent prince” and third in line, Bruno, the “Everest-high pride prince” and fourth in line, Leonhart, and the “playboy prince” and fifth in line, Licht.
The teaser PV shows the princes aggressively glaring at Heine. We can’t help but be excited to see how the student/teacher relationships between them and Heine will be depicted, and how each of the princes will grow.
Director Kikuchi Katsuya commented, “The princes are beautiful, cool, and cute! From the shine of their hair to the details of the palace, this work has been carefully developed, and we’ve packed all of the fun of this story into the series for you.”
Series writer Ueno Kimiko said, “Even within the strict demands of the royal family, the relationships of the four princes is very warm and entertaining, and it made me want to keep watching their world. I’ll try my best to bring that atmosphere and fun from the original work to the series for everyone to enjoy.”
Last but not least, the character designer Okuyama Suzuna said, “I hope that I’m able to recreate Akai’s glittering world as a gorgeous and sparkling anime.”
Set to air in the spring, it looks like we'll be hearing a lot more about Oushitsu Kyoushi Heine!
