The Sun-Star Stationery Store within Premium Bandai is now offering pre-orders for Osomatsu-san Bikkuriru Stand Memos (¥2,160 each; six types, tax included, shipping and handling separate) for a limited time as of Jan. 19, and these are only available on Premium Bandai.
■ About the Product
These items are Volume 6 of the Osomatsu-san-themed Self Responsibility Stationery series, capturing the cuteness and personality of each brother! They feature illustrations of the six brothers practicing different things like karate and an abacus, and they come as a set that includes an independent acrylic stand and block memo. The name “Bikkuriru” stems from the Japanese word bikkuri, meaning surprise, in reference to how surprising the number of ways this set can be used is. The “ru” comes from akuriru, meaning acrylic in Japanese, and kuri from kurippu, or clip. All of the illustrations are specially drawn originals, as well.
Osomatsu’s stand features him in a karate pose, showing his appeal as the oldest brother. The confident Karamatsu is depicted figure skating for his Karamatsu girls. Choromatsu is holding an abacus with both hands, perhaps calculating his future chances with Totoko-chan. The free-spirited and quiet Ichimatsu is practicing piano with the talking cat Esper Nyanko. The bright and eccentric Jyushimatsu is working on his calligraphy with the Japanese paper wrinkled and covered in ink. The youngest, Todomatsu, is completely focused on swimming.
The block memos also capture their image and icons, and the sides also feature the same patterns. You can separate and use the acrylic stand and block memo in different ways, and when used together, they’re a great everyday memo stand for a desk. The acrylic stand comes with a character part that can be moved to use the stand for smartphones and other items. The character parts also come with a safety pin and clip on the back, so if you remove them from their pedestal, you can attach them to a bag or other item as an acrylic badge or clip. There are so many different ways to use these items!
