First Key Visual for New Yowamushi Pedal Stage Play Released!

Yowamushi Pedal (Watanabe Wataru / Akita Shoten, Weekly Shonen Champion) is a hugely popular cycling manga with more than 16 million volumes printed! It’s since been adapted into a variety of mediums, and now fans can look forward to a new stage adaptation. The stage adaptations to date have gained a lot of attention by pairing the unique style of spirited director Nishida Shatner with a talented cast. Performances began in 2012 and went on to receive praise from many.

Sohoku’s New Generation Begins opened in March 2016 and was followed by September’s Hakone Academy’s New Generation Begins, introducing many new characters and cast members. The latest entry in the series will open in the spring of 2017 as we move on to the decisive Inter High! A general open casting was held to find the main cast for the new Yowamushi Pedal play. These auditions were held under the watch of the staff including Nishida Shatner to carefully select from pros and amateurs alike! This strong Yowamushi Pedal cast will continue to develop the series!
