It’s been a great year for Tales fans as the franchise’s popularity increases all around the world, and while Berseria was just only just released last month in Japan, much of the attention is focused on Tales of Zestiria.
Not only did it have the made-for-TV anime film Tales of Zestiria: Dawn of the Shepherd, but also had an anime series adaptation titled Tales of Zestiria the X, and now it looks like it’ll be getting a 2nd season in 2017!
Tales of Zestiria follows protagonist Sorey. He was raised by Seraphs, unseen by humans apart from Sorey. He sets off from his home of Seraphs into the world of humans and gains the abilities of a Shepherd, a contracted human aiming to defeat the Lord of Calamity.
As for the 2nd season, no other information has been released apart from the 2017 release date, so we’ll just have to wait and see where this adaptation will take us! The 1st season blu-ray box will go on sale Dec. 22.
