The “Haruhi Hunting” campaign began on June 1. This is the first reboot of the series in four years since the 2010 movie The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. This event comes before the release of the pachinko machine “Fever: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.”

Users can help complete the original video by snapping a photo of an illustration with their smartphone and uploading it to the website.
The original video is a music video that uses the song “Lost My Music” from the highly popular school festival episode. The video overflows with liveliness and shows the members of the SOS Brigade beginning with main character Haruhi Suzumiya. There are 707 fragments in total. Hints to where they are located are given on the official site’s “Kakera List.” It seems that with the help of fans in Japan, this large-scale campaign will pick up considerable attention. Keep an eye on how this develops along with the Haruhi Suzumiya series.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is an anime series to which the original work is a light novel series currently published by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko. The TV anime began in 2006. One of the songs used in the series, “God Knows,” has more than 13 million views on video distribution sites and is said to be the catalyst that drove the establishment of Kadokawa Group’s official YouTube page, Kadokawa Anime Channel. The series is a representative hit of the 2000s.

1. Access the above-mentioned site using your smartphone and search for a fragment using the hints provided in the “Kakera List.”
2. Photograph found fragments using your smartphone.
3. Upload found fragments to the site. The movie will be complete once all 707 fragments are found.
