Kotobukiya Figures Crush It at Anime Expo 2022! [Photo Report]

With the return of Los Angeles' annual Anime Expo convention as an in-person event, Kotobukiya came in full force! The Japanese collectible company attended AX 2022 with an exciting lineup of figures, including unpainted prototype sculpts of Transformers' Optimus Prime and Megatron from the popular Bishoujo Statue series. Fans were also treated to a jaw-dropping display featuring a trio of massive Egyptian God figures from the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, as well as a look at a beautiful ARTFX J figure of Jujutsu Kaisen's Satoru Gojo sans blindfold.

But first, taking center stage was a limited edition color variant of Persona 5's Hero Phantom Thief version. As seen in the images below, the iconic Hero is decked out in a dashing red coat! Fans who visited the booth were able to purchase it as an event exclusive item.

We hope you had a great time journeying through Kotobukiya's booth with us! Any ideas for the next figures you'll be putting on your wishlist?

Anime Expo 2022 was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 1 to 4, 2022, after a hiatus from in-person events since 2020 due to COVID-19.
