Netflix has released its first trailer for Cyberpunk Edgerunners, an anime collaboration with Cyberpunk 2077's CD PROJEKT RED and Darling in the Franxx's Studio Trigger!
Clocking in at just over a minute, the new trailer builds anticipation with no dialogue but plenty of action. A new visual was also released.
The 10-episode series is slated to stream on Netflix from September 2022. Set in a vast city where technology and body modification are commonplace, it follows a boy named Youhei. From the difficulties and sacrifices that he experiences, he goes on to become a “Cyberpunk” outlaw.
Studio Trigger co-founder Imaishi Hiroyuki ( Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare ) will direct with Otsuka Masahiko ( Gurren Lagann, FLCL ) as assistant director. Yoshinari Yoh ( Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal ) and Kaneko Yuto ( Little Witch Academia ) will handle character design and Wakabayashi Hiromi ( Kill la Kill ) will serve as creative director, while Usa Yoshiki will provide series composition. Silent Hill’s Yamaoka Akira will compose the score.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners will stream on Netflix from September 2022.
