Death Note Creators' Platinum End Anime to Air From October!

The TV anime adaptation of Death Note creators Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's Platinum End will debut this October!

The 24-episode series will run uninterrupted from October 2021 to March 2022 with two cours.

The anime's second key visual and first teaser video have also been released.

Hideya Takahashi ( Sword Art Online ) is joining the team as 1st series director, with Kazuchi Kise ( Ghost in the Shell: Arise ) as 2nd series director. Masahiro Tokuda ( The Promised Neverland live action film) will compose the music.

Platinum End follows Mirai Kakehashi, a boy who tries to commit suicide because of constant abuse from the relatives who took him in after his parents’ death. Saved by the Guardian Angel Nasse, Mirai discovers his relatives may have been responsible for the loss of his parents and uses his new powers to pursue justice. However, he also finds out that he is one of 13 candidates selected to take over from God, who is set to retire in 999 days’ time.

Platinum End is slated to air from October 2021.
