Popular franchise Touken Ranbu has confirmed performance dates for an autumn run of its stage musical.
The newly released visual features the main cast for the show including Takada Hiroki as Akashi Kuniyuki, Okamiya Kurumu as Tsurumaru Kuninaga, Tanaka Ryosei as Otegine, and Tamura Shogo as Kotegiri Gou. The new autumn run will mark the four characters' first appearances in the musical.
The musical series is based on Touken Ranbu -Online-, a massively popular simulation game in which players collect famous swords that have been turned into handsome warriors called Touken Danshi. More than two million users have registered since its release in 2015.
The Autumn 2019 musical will run from Aug. 3 to 18 at the Galaxy Theatre in Tokyo, from Aug. 30 to Sept. 8 at Sankei Hall Breeze in Osaka, from Sept. 14 to 28 at AiiA 2.5 Theater Kobe in Hyogo, and at Al Monee Thunk Kitakyushu Soleil Hall in Fukuoka from Oct. 4 to 6, before making a return stop in Tokyo at Tokyo Dome City Hall from Oct 19 to 27.
