Netflix is producing an original anime series titled Eden, to be directed by Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood director Irie Yasuhiro!
Set thousands of years in the future in the robot city known as Eden 3, the story begins with a pair of robots who wake up a baby girl from stasis and start to question everything they've been led to believe about the existence of humans. Together, they decide to raise her outside of Eden.
Irie will be joined by Cowboy Bebop’s Kawamoto Toshihiro for character design, Christophe Ferreira for concept design, Ueno Kimiko for scripts, Clover Xie for backgrounds, and Kevin Penkin for music. Qubic Pictures and CGCG will produce the four-episode series.
Eden will be streamed worldwide via Netflix in 2020.
