Several events for sci-fi manga World Trigger have been revealed in celebration of it resuming serialization!
The first event, which is an all night screening, will take place at Tokyo’s Shinjuku Wald 9 and Osaka’s Umeda Burg 7 on Dec. 7 and Dec. 8. The firstne night will be dedicated to the “Large-Scale Invasion” arc, while the other will focus on “B-Rank Rank Battles” arc.
Main cast members from the World Trigger anime will also head to the Shinjuku screenings for a special talk show. The lineup includes Muranaka Tomo (Kuga Yuuma), Kaji Yuki (Mikumo Osamu), Shimazaki Nobunaga (Hyuse), Tamura Nao (Amatori Chika), and Tanaka Hideyuki (Replica). Tickets will be available for sale from Oct. 30 to Nov. 5, and attendees can expect quizzes that’ll be rewarded with goods autographed by author Ashihara, plus special tin badges given as daily prizes.
To celebrate the good news, a new visual featuring the main characters was also revealed. It was illustrated by Kaiya Toshihisa, who served as the character designer for the anime.
Originally created by Ashihara Daisuke, World Trigger is set in the city of Mikado, which has been invaded by extraterrestrial beings named "Neighbors". Years after a mysterious agency helps Mikado's people to defend themselves against the threat, daily life is largely back to normal - until a student with a huge secret transfers to the local school.
