The first preview for the upcoming film Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection has revealed several new characters plus its release date as Feb. 9, 2019!
According to the preview, the events in the film takes place two years after Zero Requiem. Voice actors for new roles include Takagi Wataru as Bitu, and Shimazaki Nobunaga as Shestal, and Murase Ayumu as Shario. Previously announced cast members include Yukana as C.C. and Sakurai Takahiro as Suzaku.
Advance tickets went on sale for 1,500 yen and come with a special booklet dedicated to the events that took place the day before Zero Requiem.
Code Geass began in 2006 as an anime series created by Sunrise, and gained popularity both in Japan and worldwide, especially for the portrayal of moral conflicts between its main characters. 2016 marked its 10th anniversary, during which the three-part compilation film series and sequel project was announced.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Ressurection hits theaters in Japan beginning Feb. 9, 2019.
