Komi Can't Communicate to Get Anime This October!

Comedy manga Komi Can't Communicate is getting a TV anime adaptation this October!

In addition to a one-minute trailer, a teaser visual and information on the main cast and staff have been released.

Shoko Komi, the titular protagonist, will be voiced by Aoi Koga. Komi's friend Hitohito Tadano will be voiced Gakuto Kajiwara. Hitohito's friend Najimi Osana will be voiced by Rie Murakawa.

Ayumu Watanabe will serve as chief director with Kazuki Kawagoe also directing. Deko Akao will handle series composition, while OLM will animate the series.

Created by Tomohito Oda, Komi Can't Communicate is a manga currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. The story follows Shoko Komi, a high school girl who has severe issues with communicating with others. Due to her beauty, however, her classmates interpret her silence as extraordinary elegance. After she is befriended by Hitohito Tadano, the extremely average boy who sit next to her in class, he decides to help with her dream of making 100 friends.

The Komi Can't Communicate TV anime is slated to air in October 2021.
