Hell Girl to be Adapted Into Live Action Movie!

Horror anime Hell Girl is set to be adapted into a live action movie! Slated for release in the autumn of 2019, it will be directed by Sadako vs Kayako’s Shiraishi Koji.

Hell Girl is an original horror anime project which first aired in 2005. The show revolves around “Hell Girl” Enma Ai who responds to requests posted on the “Hell Correspondence” website where people leave messages about their grudges. Ai then tracks down the offending person and drags them off to hell when their time comes - at the cost of the complainant having to suffer the same fate at the end of their life.

Tamashiro Tina, who worked with Shiraishi on Sadako vs Kayako, will play Enma Ai. Additional cast members so far confirmed include Hashimoto Manami, Raiku, Maro Akaji, Mori Nana, Nimura Sawa, Oba Nina (SKE48), Namioka Kazuki, and Fujita Tomu.

Hell Girl will open at cinemas across Japan in Autumn 2019.
