Madoka Takes to the Ice in Magia Record Anniversary Ad Featuring Olympic Gold Medalist!

Smartphone game Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record is celebrating its very first anniversary with a commercial starring gold medal-winning figure skater Alina Zagitova skating in a costume inspired by Kaname Madoka!

Released on Aug. 22, 2017, Magia Record is a side story inspired by popular magical girl anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The commemorative ad follows Zagitova as she recreates Madoka’s difficult rise to being a magical girl on the ice rink to the melody of Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal's theme song "Hikari Furu".

Zagitova is a Russian figure skater and one of the youngest athletes in the figure skating world to take the gold, having celebrated her sixteenth birthday only months after the 2018 Winter Olympics.
