Sword Art Online: Alicization, the third anime season of the popular light novel series, has released its second key visual along with a new teaser trailer!
Season 3 follows Kirito on a new adventure as he goes Full Dive in a fantasy-style online game where he meets an NPC with real human emotions. Unable to log out, Kirito must search for a way to escape from the game world.
Ono Manabu will direct with original character design by abec, character design by Adachi Shingo, Suzuki Gou, and Nishiguchi Tomoya, and music by Kajiura Yuki. The show will be produced by Egg Firm and Straight Edge with A-1 Pictures and SAO-A Project handling animation.
Matsuoka Yoshitsugu will reprise his role as Kirito alongside Tomatsu Haruka as Asuna, Kayano Ai as Alice, and Shimazaki Nobunaga as Eugeo.
Sword Art Online: Alicization is slated to air on Tokyo MX, BS11, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, MBS, TV Aichi, and Abema TV from Oct. 2018.
