We’re solidly into the Spring 2018 anime season, meaning fans have had plenty of time to get to know all sorts of great new characters! It’s time to pick favorites, though, and that’s what Anime!Anime!'s poll is all about: fans' ideal characters from this season’s anime! The overall theme has been broken up into 4 parts, with fans ranking characters of both genders. Results for ideal female characters for fans of the same gender are also out, but first let's take a look at male fans' picks!
Anime!Anime! recorded votes from 221 fans, which ended in a four-way tie for 3rd place. Read on to find out if your favorite made the list!
3. Chidori Kaname, Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory / Irokawa Ruki, Comic Girls / Koyanagi Hanako, Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii / Zero Two, Darling in the Franxx
Chidori Kaname of Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory is the first to enter the list in 3rd place, and she continues to be a favorite among fans for her charm, beauty, and general humor. Dedicated artist Irokawa Ruki, AKA “Big Boobies Himeko-sensei” of Comic Girls and the often cold but sometimes wonderfully sweet Koyanagi of Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii ( Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku ) have also joined the tie for 3rd place. The final 3rd place finisher is Zero Two of Darling in the Franxx. As if she’s not cute enough as an adult, it’s impossible to not adore the outrageously cute itty bitty oni Zero Two!
2. Teresa Wagner, Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai
In 2nd place with 5% of the vote is the lovely Teresa Wagner of Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai! In the anime, Teresa has just moved to Japan and her sparkling smile instantly warms your heart before you even get acquainted with her sweet personality.
1. Llenn, Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online
Topping the list and taking the crown with an impressive 13% of the vote is Llenn of Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online! This Sword Art Online spin-off is based on the world in the Phantom Bullet arc, and it stars Llenn - an impressively tall woman who decides to make her in-game character short and adorable. She’s both cute and cool, and just as importantly, has great gaming skills!
