The next entry in Banpresto's popular lottery game Ichiban Kuji, will be all about Nyanko-sensei of Midorikawa Yuki’s Natsume Book of Friends!
The lottery, which officially begins on Feb. 17, boasts a charming line-up of premium goods that are both cute and practical. As Japan is still in winter, it's quite appropriate that most of them depict how Nyanko-sensei manages to keep warm and comfy in the cold.
As usual, there are 7 ranks (A through G), plus the ultra lucky "last one" prize!
Rank A is a super cute plushie of Nyanko-sensei all bundled up with a matching muffler and hat set, complete with pom poms. He also has a yummy nikuman clutched between his paws.
Rank B is a large cushion with his relaxed expression is next on the list. It also has a remarkably soft and squishy body, almost like mochi.
Part of keeping toasty in the cold stems from comforting foods, which is why Rank C & D have to do with the kitchen! The shiny red food pot comes with a lid that has raised paw prints and a handle that looks like Nyanko-sensei’s face. After that comes a soup bowl and spoon set, also decorated with his face and paw prints.
Ranks E, F & G promise colorful little cups, equally colorful hand towels, and metal charms that shows all the ways Nyanko-sensei dresses during winter.
Finally, whoever is lucky enough to receive the very last prize at their location will be gifted with a soft plushie of Nyanko-sensei, who is wearing a funny cap that looks like a fried prawn.
Tickets cost 620 yen each and can be bought from Feb. 17 at convenience stores and hobby shops all around Japan while stocks last.
