The Answer Studio, a studio that also worked on Kimi no Na wa. has announced Road to You ~Kimi he to Todoku Michi~, an anime short promoting Sumitomo Rubber Industries’ “Winter Maxx 02” studless tires.
Road to You ~Kimi he to Todoku Michi~ takes place on a night in snowy Otaru, Hokkaido, when a single miracle is woven from three kinds of love: Once every year when the light hits, one’s love for their lover, family, and home shoots off to finally blend together.
Takahashi Shin, a manga artist known for Saikano and Ii Hito is handling characters, Kawamata Hiroshi, who participated in many on The Answer Studio’s works, is directing the piece, and Tsuchiya Kenichi from Kimi no Na wa. and Garden of Words is responsible for character design and animation direction. The anime will feature “Amador” from Suda Keina (a Vocaloid producer previously known as Balloon), who is known for songs including “Sharuru” (Charles) and “Mabel”.
Road to You ~Kimi he to Todoku Michi~ is set to premiere at 12:00 am on Oct. 11.
