Gintama Live-Action Movie's Hilarious New Trailer Features Anime Characters Complaining!

The live action Gintama adaptation opens in cinemas across Japan from July 14, but judging by this latest trailer not everyone is happy about it.

Right after the trailer begins, the anime incarnations of the Gintama characters start voicing some of their concerns. Gintoki (voiced by Sugita Tomokazu) kicks things off by remarking that the publicity for the movie is cranking up, and Kagura (Kugimiya Rie) then adds that the commercials are running nonstop to which Shinpachi (Sakaguchi Daisuke) agrees, all of which sounds fairly positive. However, Gintoki then wishes that they’d promote the anime a bit more with Kagura replying that those stingy suits are too busy with their fancy movie to bother with anime, at which point Shinpachi suggests they all plug the latest edition of the manga - a movie special!

Volume 69 of the Gintama manga is released on July 4 while the live action movie opens at cinemas across Japan from July 14.
