Digimon Adventure tri. is the latest entry to the Digimon Adventure series, and it includes a total of 6 chapters. The 5th chapter, Symbiosis, will begin screening on Sept. 30, and the 1st PV has officially made its debut. Details on the general sale for the Blu-ray and DVD have been released, as well.
This series is set 6 years after Digimon Adventure and commemorates its 15th anniversary. Kamiya Taichi and the other “DigiDestined” are now high school students as they set off on a new adventure. More than 146,000 people went to see the 1st movie, Reunion, when it aired in 2015. The 4th, Loss, aired this past February and earned more than 650 million in the box office, with over 414,000 people going to see it.
The new PV is around 2 minutes long, and it shows the chosen ones as they face conflict and suffering but stand up together against an approaching danger. The trailer is especially focused on Mochizuki Meiko and her partner Meicoomon. A countdown towards the collapse of reality starts as a result of Meicoomon’s recklessness, leading her to suffer over feeling like the world would be better without her. The video gives us a chance to see everyone’s reaction to this in coming together as comrades. There’s also tension halfway through, as the other Digimon suspect that she has gone rogue...
The general sale for the Blu-ray and DVD will begin on Nov. 2. There will also be a specially illustrated jacket and 16-page booklet that come with the 1st run of the limited edition versions, and Animax will be airing chapter 1 through chapter 4 of the series.
Things are going to be intense as we enter the 2nd half of this new adventure!
