Gintama: Mitsuba Arc is an online drama spin-off to the upcoming Gintama live action movie. The three-episode series will be streamed exclusively on dTV from July 15 and focusses on Mitsuba, the sister of Shinsengumi member Okita, who travels to Tokyo to get married but quickly finds herself embroiled in a conspiracy.
The series will feature the same cast as the theatrical movie, including Oguri Shun as Gintoki and will be directed by Fukuda Yuichi.
The trailer features a number of high action scenes, as well as the light-hearted comedy the series is well-known for.
The trailer also reveals the series’ main theme which will be performed by UVERworld, who is also providing the theme for the live action movie. The brand new song, "Decided", has been specially created to reflect the Gintama universe.
All three episodes of Gintama: Mitsuba Arc will be available to stream exclusively on dTV from 12am on 15 July.
The Gintama live action movie is released in Japanese cinemas from 14 July.
