Animated short film Arrival started out as a Kickstarter project back in 2013. Written, directed, and animated by Alex Myung (also known for Juxtaposed ), this 22-minute work of art managed to top its $20,000 goal, and after several years of hard work, it was released last year. Now everyone can see it, though, thanks to its official online release on Apr. 27!
It’s a beautifully animated work with lush backgrounds that follows the journey of a boy who, after being struck with tragedy, suppresses parts of himself. It also touches on the effect that has on those around him.
The amount of care that has gone into this short film is instantly clear, and you can watch the full work on Vimeo here! If you’re in the mood for something touching, don’t pass it up~
