Main Visual for Boruto Anime & Cast Details Released

Despite its second volume only having just come out, Boruto is on track to compete with its preceding work Naruto with more than 1 million copies printed. Its anime adaptation will be airing on April 5., and we finally have a main visual and details about the staff and cast!

Not only will the staff include talents like Abe Noriyuki as chief director, Yamashita Hiroyuki as director, and Uezu Makoto for series composition, but also an incredible cast of voice actors like Sanpei Yuko as Uzumaki Boruto.

The story is set in Konohagakure which has been growing peacefully. The way of life for ninjas has been changing as the population grows, and Boruto, the son of the Seventh Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto, is entering the Academy.

The students around Boruto see him narrowly as the Hokage’s son, but he tries his best to make new friends and take on a mysterious adventure.

The main visual includes not only Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki, but also their classmates Nara Shikadai, Yamanaka Inojin, and Akimichi Chocho. Boruto is played by Sanpei Yuko, Uchiha Sarada by Kikuchi Kokoro, Mitsuki by Kijima Ryuichi, Shikadai by Ono Kensho, Akimichi Chocho by Shiraishi Ryoko, Yamanaka Inojin by Abe Atsushi, Uzumaki Naruto by Takeuchi Junko, Uzumaki Hinata by Mizuki Nana, Uzumaki Himawari by Hayami Saori, Nara Shikamaru by Morikubo Showtaro, and Aburame Shino by Kawada Shinji for an incredible cast.

Chief director Abe has said about this series, “While these new characters are the successors to the massive story of Naruto, I’m also aiming to make new characters for the new generation. Honestly, it’s a real challenge, but it’s also truly worth doing. It’s exciting.” Director Yamashita also commented, “The more we met up and the more we put together, the more a Boruto world came together. I think it’ll attract both fans and new viewers.” It’s sounding more and more like this’ll be another great series!

The anime will air on TV Tokyo stations on April 5 at 5:55 pm.
