On Jan. 24, FOVE launched a webpage about their collaboration with Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale that will enable users of their eye-tracking VR device FOVE 0 to meet Asuna in virtual reality via a download that will be available from Jan. 31 to July 31 in Japan and Korea. Currently, the webpage features a specially drawn illustration of Asuna equipping the FOVE 0 device and a video (in Japanese) about the collaboration. It will be updated with more information as the download period approaches.
When the FOVE 0 is equipped, a 3-dimensional home screen appears to the user. With the download, Asuna will appear standing before the user and will act not only as the FOVE concierge by explaining the FOVE features and home screen, but also laugh when the user looks her in the eyes, get angry if she is ignored, and notice where the user is looking. Such natural communication with Asuna has never been possible before!
