Osamu Tezuka-Related Books from Rittosha Bunko Hit Shelves on Feb. 20!

Following the theme of the books released under the label Rittosha Bunko last summer—the Osamu Tezuka Novel Compilation, the Osamu Tezuka Movie Essay Compilation, and Boku wa Mangaka—Ritto Music, a company under the egis of Impress Group specializing in music-related publications, is publishing yet another two volumes dabbling in the vast bibliography of the God of Manga himself: Osamushi ni Tsutaete (Revised Edition) by Rumiko Tezuka and the Osamu Tezuka Scenario Compilation 1970-1980.

Osamushi ni Tsutaete (Revised Edition) focuses on the author’s relationship with her father, showing a more human side to the famous mangaka. Featuring a discussion with Shizuka Sonoda Mama from Club Sukiyabashi, a popular literary bar, this volume serves as a perfect introduction to Rumiko Tezuka’s work, who is also known for spreading “Tezuka-ism.”

The Osamu Tezuka Scenario Compilation 1970-1980, on the other hand, contains the scenarios to titles including One Million-Year Trip: Bandar Book (1978), Jetter Mars (1977), and Cleopatra (1970). Featuring unpublished character sketches in color on the frontispiece as well as other previously unpublished drafts and image boards, this volume is brimming with all sorts of gems that are sure to make fans of Tezuka’s work squeal in excitement!
