Zoro is the fourth in Premium Bandai’s Portrait.of.Pirates subdivision S.O.C. series which features high quality figures of characters from the One Piece universe in seated poses. Portrait.of.Pirates One Piece S.O.C Roronoa Zoro is available for pre-order beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Dec. 9 and retails for 10,638 yen (including tax and shipping, excluding handling fees).
The Pirate Hunter and designated swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro is the fourth figure to join the S.O.C. series which features characters from the One Piece universe in relaxed, seated poses, following Sanji, Sabo, and Trafalgar Law.
Rather than sitting on a chair as in the rest of the series, Zoro has decided to sit on a cushion on the floor, dressed in his usual dark green robes with the right side of his chest bare. Sitting cross-legged on a cushion bearing the star mark of popular brand Crimin, Zoro is busy cleaning his beloved sword, the Wadao Ichimonji - a memento of his childhood friend Kuina. At 14 centimeters tall, Zoro is a little different to the other figures in the series which have all been dressed in suits and seated on chairs or sofas and has a much less relaxed atmosphere with his serious expression as he polishes Kuina’s sword with a piece of kaishi paper between his teeth.
Sculpted by MAS and painted by Kenji Ando, all of Zoro’s iconic detail is recreated, from his well-honed muscles and famous sword to the high quality of the cushion.
