Namco is set to release a full metal statue of the heroine of the tank-themed high school slice-of-life anime Girls Und Panzer which is currently enjoying a theatrical run of its big screen incarnation Girls und Panzer der Film. The “Girls und Panzer der Film Full Metal Statue Miho Nishizumi” is available for pre-order via Premium Bandai from 1 p.m. on Oct. 28 in two different versions which each retail for 5,000 yen (including tax, excluding shipping and handling).
The figure takes the form of a full metal statue of the movie’s heroine, Miho Nishizumi, who stands in a dignified pose atop the tank’s cupola. The statue has a height of 90-millimeters and while fairly compact weighs and impressive 100 grams, so you can really feel the impact of all that metal. There are two different finishes on offer - shiny silver and gunmetal.
Using an original sculpt created just for this project, the statues have been put together using specialist technology. With her sweet yet brave expression, wind picking up her hair, flapping panzer jacket, and the Anglerfish Team logo on her back, Miho has been faithfully recreated. The base takes the form of the cupola from her Panzer IV Ausf. D tank which also has Miho’s name engraved on the front.
