★Discussion with Space Brothers Voice Actors Hiroaki Hirata and KENN★
In the first half of the event, a livestream was set up between the three locations and the International Space Station (ISS). Hiroaki Hirata who plays Mutta Nanba, KENN who plays Hibito Nanba, and a JAXA employee took to the stage for a discussion about the kind of future you can expect as a result of experiments in space, which was broadcast to all three locations.

There was also a special screening of Space Brothers #0 Chuya Koyama Special Edition, as well as a new “Talking Cast” smartphone app-connected system in which visitors and characters from the show could interact in real time! Only at this event could Space Brothers fans enjoy a mockup space walk alongside Mutta Nanba, Hibito Nanba, and Apo as the characters’ pictures and those of the visitors were projected on the dome’s screen.

★Live Conversation with Real Life JAXA Astronaut Takuya Onishi★
During the second half of the event, a real time conversation exchange took place with long term ISS resident and JAXA astronaut Takuya Onishi who answered some questions from the audience. According to Onishi, the astronauts and pilots about the ISS come very close to danger so safety management is of the utmost importance. Such lessons are exhaustingly long and you have to work together with large numbers of people, but Onishi feels that his experiences up to now have stood him in good stead. Also, there are bodily changes that can become a problem, and Onishi stated the reason your stomach hurts is because your body stretches during the first week in space and the blood can run to your head. Onishi said that he can sleep properly now, but during breaks from being busy with experiments he enjoys listening to music whilst looking at the Earth for a change of pace. At the very end, everybody took part in a commemorative photo.

It truly was an unforgettable event for fans of space, astronomy, anime, and the planetarium that entertained all ages from elementary school children to grown ups.
