Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. First-Person Shooter Set for Launch in Japan!

Online game company Nexon held a press conference on Sept. 9 to announce the launch of a first-person shooter game based on the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex anime - Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. Online.

After the screening of the teaser trailer, pro-gamer and member of top gaming team DetonatioN, Dustel Box, described some of the game’s appeal whilst playing through some of it publicly.

Machi Kiyose then took to the stage dressed as the series’ protagonist Motoko Kusanagi alongside the event’s MC Junko Watanabe who was dressed as the support team operator for a photo shoot. The event was brought to a close with an opportunity to get an early experience of the game.

*Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C Online* is a first-person shooter game developed by Nexon subsidiary company Neople Inc. Set in a world in which the progression of the information network has been accelerated and crime has become a complication in society, the game casts the player in the role of a highly functional cyborg engaged in a virtual intelligence war alongside Public Security Section 9 in its battle against terrorism in near future Japan.

You can also customise your character's artificial body parts to get the edge in battle as well as use the Skill Sync System to share your skill set and team up with other players during the game.
