Kirara x Kirara Project New Game! Anime Collaboration: One-Day Travel & Platform Ticket Designs Announced!

Eizan Electric Railway Co., Ltd. has been collaborating with Houbunsha’s manga magazine Manga Time Kirara for some time with their sightseeing train Kirara, but now they’ll be collaborating with New Game! which is currently running in Manga Time Kirara Carat. Two different designs of one-day travel and platform tickets are on the way, with the first available from Aug. 27 and the second from Sept. 18, 2016.

A series of platform ticket designs featuring different characters will be available in each ticket phase:

Phase 1: Aoba Suzukaze, Ko Yagami, Rin Toyama, Hifumi Takimoto, Hajime Shinoda
Phase 2: Aoba Suzukaze, Yun Iijima, Nene Sakura, Umiko Ahagon, Shizuku Hazuki

Eizan Electric Railway hope to boost their profile through collaborating with the popular franchise as well as helping to regenerate Kyoto and the Rakuhoku area.

The full details of the stiff paper-style (3.0 x 8.8 centimeters) one-day travel and platform tickets featuring the characters of New Game!, which began broadcasts of its TV anime adaptation on July 4, are as follows:

Phase 1: New Game! One-Day Travel Ticket and Platform Tickets

Phase 1 mounting

1. Available from Aug. 27, 2016 to Sept. 30, 2017.
*Tickets are a limited edition and may sell out.*

2. Special launch event - Aug. 27, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Sets of all five platform tickets and one type of one-day travel ticket will be sold from specially set up area on the Demachiyanagi Station concourse.
- The ticket sets will retail for 2,050 yen (1,000 yen for the travel ticket plus 210 yen (times five) for platform tickets; also includes cardboard mounting)
- Limited to 600 sets only
*Available until 11:00 a.m. only*
*For this set only, each of the platform tickets will come with the characters’ birthdays printed on the design.*

Regular Sales:
Available at:
- Demachiyanagi Station and Shugakuin Station from 12 noon until the last train.
- Kurama Station from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

3. Sales times from Aug. 28, 2016 onwards

- Kurama Station from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

New Game! One-Day Travel and Platform Tickets

Limited to 1,000 of each design only (including the 600 tickets included in the launch sets).
When you buy a one-day travel ticket you’ll also get a coupon which can be exchanged for the mounting card when you’ve collected a full set of the platform tickets from each of the phases.

Exchange method:
When you’ve completed the set, present your coupon at Demachiyanagi Station and they’ll exchange it for the mounting card.

One-day Travel Tickets:
Sales:
- There are no assigned serial numbers.
- You get one exchange coupon with each one-day travel ticket.

Usage:
- For customers who board at unmanned stations, a member of the train crew will fill in the date on your ticket.
- For customers who board at manned stations, a member of the station staff will date stamp your ticket.

Refunds:
- Where permitted, a refund may be available for tickets unused during the sales period, minus a handling fee.
- In order to receive a refund, a handling fee of 300 yen will be imposed for each ticket.
- Even if you don’t actually board, you are not eligible for a refund once your ticket has been date stamped or signed.

Platform Tickets:
- The sales date will be stamped on the ticket.
- There are no serial numbers.
- You won’t be able to buy platform tickets for another station at the ticket window.
(Excluding tickets included in the special purchase set)

Usage:
- Can only be used on the day of purchase. The sales date will be stamped on the ticket. You can’t buy a ticket which is not stamped with a date.

Refunds
- No refunds. (Excluding situations in which access to Demachiyanagi Station is restricted or halted).
