Detective Conan has captured the hearts of fans throughout the world over these 20 years, and these glittering gold and silver coins are being officially issued by the Cook Islands Government.

This commemorative coin is a first for Detective Conan.

Dressed up like Sherlock Holmes, Conan Edogawa appears on the gold coin in front of a brick wall-patterned relief designed to capture the appearance of Baker Street. Similarly, that Holmes theme is carried onto the silver coin with both Conan and Shinichi Kudo making an appearance in front of a London background.

These limited edition gold and silver coins both feature illustrations by the original author of the series, Gosho Aoyama. Queen Elizabeth II makes an appearance on the opposite side.

This commemorative currency is being minted in very limited quantity. Only 2,000 gold coin sets and 5,000 silver coin sets will be available.

The gold coin also comes with a book-style music box case to keep it in. The cover features Conan again in his Holmes costume. Inside you’ll find a picture of Conan and an autograph by Gosho Aoyama. The song featured is the Detective Conan main theme.
