From Kitan Club’s popular line “Okii Sumaho no Ofuton” (Big Smartphone Futons) comes versions featuring the popular character Pikachu from Pokémon. The “Big Smartphone Futons Ver. Pikachu” lineup will be available in gacha machines Japan-wide beginning Feb. 5.
Kitan Club creates a variety of gacha toys beginning with their flagship line, “Fuchico on the Cup.” The “Big Smartphone Futons” series is yet another. Together with developing their techniques, they’ve changed the size of their products to match the growing size of smartphones. The series has become popular with over 800,000 units sold. It’s known for collaborations with Funassyi and Gudetama as well.
This time the series is collaborating with none other than Pikachu, a Pokémon character that has retained a steadfast popularity. Even previously Kitan Club hit gold with Putitto Pikachu from the Putitto series. Pokémon products are a sure hit. There are no doubt many fans whose heart is captured by how cute Pikachu looks hanging from the rim of a cup.
The “Big Smartphone Futons Ver. Pikachu” series fits smartphones up to 140 by 70 millimeters. The lineup includes a total of five designs: Pikachu, Tons of Pikachu, Goodnight Pikachu, Pikachu Face, and a secret design. Tuck a Putitto Pikachu figure into one to enjoy creating a dream collaboration.
Each futon costs 400 yen and they will be available at gacha machines on Feb. 5. A collaboration with futons and the adorable Pikachu—this one’s sure to gain massive attention.
