Assassination Classroom is the hit series from Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) which has now sold over 18 million total copies. With a live-action movie as well as anime under its belt, this franchise will see its much-awaited continuation in the second season of the television anime.
The airing date of the second season has now been revealed. The show is to air through multiple networks across Japan, with its first episode starting on Jan. 7, 2016 on the late-night slot.
Along with the anticipation of the second season, Koro-sensei Shop, which opened in 2014 during the airing of the first season, is also making a revival! An event called “TV Anime Assassination Classroom Koro-sensei Shop Returns!” will be starting on Dec. 12 at Hachitama, Fuji TV’s spherical observatory located on the 25th floor.
There you will be able to hear your fortune read by Koro-sensei at the Koro-sensei Shrine, see special character pop-up panels exhibited, and browse event-limited Assassination Classroom merchandise. The previous event offered items such as clear files and T-shirts, along with Koro-sensei designed bottled water, candies, and more! Fans can be sure to expect even more interesting goods for sale this time around!
What’s more, a second Escape Room game based on the series, “Escape from Assassination Classroom 2,” will be starting in February 2016! Based on a storyline from the original series, this time, participants have to save their classmates from a mysterious virus that has infected the class by solving and decoding puzzles, and obtain the vaccine by breaking into a hotel that the enemy is staying at! Beginner and difficulty levels for kids are also included so that anyone can easily join. Looks like the Escape Game this time has largely leveled up from the last!
The game will be taking place in 18 cities across Japan, including but not limited to, Tokyo, Sapporo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka, making this a chance for many people to participate!
Additionally, the previous Escape Game, “Escape from Assassination Classroom: Escape Now Third Year Class E!” will also be revived in the Sapporo, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka locations, giving fans who previously were not able to participate a second chance!
Pre-sale tickets through the fanclub, Young Detective Scrap Club, start on Dec. 12.
