The first official retail shop for Yo-Kai Watch, a series hugely popular with kids and adults alike, will open in LaLaport Toyosu in Tokyo on Oct. 23. Its official name is “Yo-Kai Watch Official Shop Yorozu Mart in Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu.” The shop will have not just popular products for sale but will also have an atmosphere in which you can enjoy the world unique to Yo-Kai Watch. The store seems likely to become a place that transmits the culture of Yo-Kai Watch, which fans have been anxiously awaiting.
Yorozu Mart will be open in the 3F Center Port of LaLaport Toyosu. Yorozu Mart is also the name of a store that appears in the anime and games, and the shop will also have on hand a variety of products featuring the real shop’s logo. There will be roughly 1,200 products in stock including plushies of the youkai and snacks. Shopping may be a given, but there will also be a communication space set up at the front of the shop. There will be statues of characters including Jibanyan, Komasan, and Whisper, and taking commemorative photos will be allowed.
The inside of the store will also feature intricate lighting that changes depending on the time. Set up in the middle of the store will be the sacred tree and gacha machine that stand out in the series’ story too. Youkai will also be hidden all throughout the store, giving patrons the chance to realistically enjoy the world of Yo-Kai Watch. Attention has also been paid to touches that kids won’t get sick of including youkai appearing on the register screens during checkout. There will also be a time service event called “Demon Time” during which staff members will hand out tickets to customers. In celebration of the store’s opening, each day from Oct. 23 to Nov. 1 the first 1,000 customers middle school age and younger will receive as a present a “Hi no Shin B Medal.” Opening events are also planned for Oct. 23–25 including a “Character Greeting Show” which will feature Jibanyan and Komasan and a mini concert with Dream5, who sing “Yo-Kai Exercise No. 1,” and Cotori with Stitchbird, who sing “Space Dance!” You can check the official site for more details.
