The fourth movie in the Persona 3 the Movie series which began in November 2013 and is based on the popular Persona 3 video game will finally be released on Jan. 23, 2016. Advance ticketing information has also been revealed. Sales will begin at movie theatres throughout Japan from Sept. 5, 2015. The first of the advance ticket purchasing bonuses has been announced too and will take the form of a special monthly desktop calendar which has a luxurious feel despite costing only 1,500 yen including regular taxes.
Persona 3 the Movie begins when Makoto Yuki, a student at Gekkoukan High School, becomes involved in a special extracurricular club at the school. The club members are all wielders of awakened Personas. They battle the threat of the “Shadows” in the Shadow Time that not many people even know exists.
The first three movies see the friends meeting and discovering countless truths and large-scale incidents. The series reaches its climax in the fourth movie which features Ryoji Mochizuki, a new character introduced in part 3, and Makoto at its center.
The series has continued to fascinate fans throughout its run, but this movie is unique in its many stylish visuals. The special desktop calendar will include some of these key visuals which have been used up to now so you can relive the series sheet by beautiful sheet.
Also, it’s been announced that in conjunction with the final movie’s release on March 5, 2016 a special event titled “Persona 3 the Movie Finale Event” will be held at Shinagawa Stellar Ball.
Among those expected to attend are Akira Ishida who plays Makoto, Megumi Toyoguchi who plays Yukari, and Megumi Ogata who plays Ken. When you buy an advance ticket, the reverse will feature a serial number for priority event ticket sales that you can use to get a ticket. If you’re lucky enough to enjoy both the film and the event it’s sure to be a truly great experience!
The DVD and Blu-ray of the third Persona 3 movie, Persona 3 the Movie #3 Falling Down, will be released on Jan. 20, 2016. A similar standard of wonderful bonus items as you’ve seen up to now is also expected this time. Persona 3 the Movie seems destined to heat up in 2016 too!
