Overlord, a TV anime which started broadcasting in July, is now expanding. The characters of this work have been turned into chibi characters for the animation Pure Pure Purea Desu, which is streaming on the public site. Additionally, there will be a public recording of Overlord ~Shiko no Radio ni Chusei no Gi o~ on Aug. 22 at Chara Hobby 2015.
Overlord is a popular work and series by Kugane Maruyama which began in 2010 as a light novel being distributed online, which has since been expanded across different media. With its stage set in the online game Yggdrasil and a wizard protagonist who takes the shape of a skeleton, its unique setup and dark fantasy world have earned a great deal of popularity. An anime has been broadcasting since July 2015.
A spinoff anime of this work called Pure Pure Purea Desu has now been released. Ainz, Albedo and the others are adorable in their chibi forms, completely different from the dark fantasy atmosphere and relationships of the original work.
Furthermore, there will be a public recording of the radio show Overlord ~Shiko no Radio ni Chusei no Gi o~ done on Aug. 22 at Chara Hobby. Aura’s voice actress, Emiri Katou, and Albedo’s voice actress, Yumi Hara, team up to bring everyone a fun program. Look forward to hearing what kind of conversations fans will get to see recorded.
They’re also streaming on the animation site Gyao!! for free. Episodes 1–5 will be broadcast together from around Aug. 14 to the 17, and then episodes 5–9 will be broadcast from Sept. 11 to the 14, and finally episodes 10–13 will be available from Oct. 9 to the 11.
Also, there will be a Script Present Campaign being carried out for the Sept. 25 release of the Blu-ray/DVD which will include autographs from the cast. Winners will be decided from those who preordered through a raffle and will receive a copy autographed by Momonga’s voice actor, Satoshi Hino, and Albedo’s voice actress, Yumi Hara, among others.
