The TV anime Prisma Illya 2wei Herz! will begin broadcasting on July 24 (Fri.) on Tokyo MX and other networks. Screenshots have now been released from the second promotional video for the series.
Prisma Illya 2wei Herz! is concepted around Type-Moon’s visual novel game Fate/stay night and based on the original manga by Hiroshi Hiroyama. Differing from Fate/stay night’s serious story, characters Illya and Miyu become magical girls, and the series is awash in comedic elements. Of course, many familiar characters from the Fate series also appear in Illya including Rin. The facial expressions the characters show that differ from other works in the franchise to date is also one of its charms.
2wei Herz! is the third season of Prisma Illya. The first season depicted Illya and Miyu cultivating a bond, the second season introduced Kuro, a girl who looks just like Illya, and this season, which finally breaks into summer vacation, continues the events of season 2. Because the series is set during summer vacation, it seems we’ll be able to enjoy all we want the sights of beaches, swimsuits, and girls. These can even be seen in the newly released screenshots from the second PV.
Even aside from swimsuits, the series brings out images related to summer one after the next including the hot summer sun beating down, ice pops, and puffy white clouds. This is likely to be the perfect anime for the coming summer season.
In other news, the event “Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya Magical Party” will be held on Saturday, June 27 in celebration of the anime’s broadcast. The event will include an advance screening of the anime, live shows, live readings, background recordings, talk shows, and tons of other content, so it’s likely a good idea for fans to check this out first.
Currently, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, which can also be said to a precursor to Prisma Illya, is broadcasting. The story is finally entering its climax, and there are no doubt many fans who watch it on the edge of their seat each week.
Prisma Illya 2wei Herz!, which will follow up the UBW broadcast, is nothing but cheerful, and we’ll no doubt be able to see the fun everyday lives of the girls. Being able to enjoy a novel take on the franchise is also one of its main charms.
