Revealing one Legendary Pokémon after another, the story and new visuals for the newest movie in the Pokémon the Movie XY series were made public all at once!

Pokémon is a series that, to this day, continues to be loved by children and adults alike. The newest Pokémon movie, Pokémon the Movie XY: The Archdjinn of Rings: Hoopa, will be release simultaneously with the film Pikachu and the Pokémon Musicians on July 18, 2015 in Japan nationwide. They are the big movies of this summer which everyone is looking forward to.

The story, the newest visuals, as well as the trailer for the new film have just been made public. The Archdjinn of Rings: Hoopa in particular has a huge surprise in store for fans—the Legendary Pokémon who have appeared in previous Pokémon works are all assembled in this single film. Needless to say, just knowing that these Pokémon are to appear in the movie increases the level of anticipation and excitement for fans.

This grand gathering is related to the appearance of an item known as “Imashime no Tsubo” (Prison Bottle) in the movie. The “Imashime no Tsubo” (Prison Bottle) is an item which is said to have sealed away within it the Pokémon who demolished the desert town of Deserushiti (Desert City) long ago. When it appears as though the seal has been broken, an evil presence permeates the air. Legendary Pokémon cloaked with that same presence—Groudon, Kyogre, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Kyurem—are assembled.

Furthermore, the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, which Ash, Pikachu, and the gang encounter during their journey, causes more Legendary Pokémon to “appear.” And thus, the fierce battle between Legendary Pokémon begins.

On the other hand, the short film Pikachu and the Pokémon Musicians is a choir performance consisting of the voices of different Pokémon. Presenting a performance of lovely harmony, this film is also an enjoyable change of pace.

Starting March 7, the special advance-sale movie tickets, which come with “double present” bonus perks, have gone on sale. Just like the movie itself, the bonuses also pack a powerful punch. The first is a present code with which you can receive the Legendary Pokémon Arceus, and the second is a “Legendary Pokémon” Odemashi Coupon, which allows you to pick one Legendary Pokémon from a choice of six. These items are definitely must-haves for fans.

[Story]
100 years ago, the desert town Deserushiti (Desert City) was demolished due to a battle amongst Pokémon. The battle was triggered by the existence of a certain Pokémon. However, someone managed to seal that Pokémon away, and the town has now regained the peace it once enjoyed.

Along Ash, Pikachu, and the gang’s journey, they encounter the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, who possesses the “ring that is said to hold the power to retrieve objects,” and the girl who is taking care of Hoopa, Mary. The mischievous and playful Hoopa uses the mysterious ring to produce a variety of objects, including its favorite doughnuts, surprising the gang, who have a fun time. Calling Ash (Satoshi) and Pikachu “Saaton” and “Piikan,” Hoopa is innocent and harmless. Having gotten along so well, Hoopa joins Ash and the gang on their journey.

Upon arriving in Deserushiti (Desert City), Ash and the gang meet Mary’s older brother, Balza. However, for some reason, something isn’t right about Balza. Upon closer inspection, they notice that in his hand is the “Imashime no Tsubo” (Prison Bottle) in which the Pokémon who destroyed the city long ago are sealed! An evil presence emanates from the bottle. It appears that, with the passage of time, the bottle’s seal has been broken. And cloaked with that same evil presence are the Legendary Pokémon Groudon, Kyogre, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Kyurem!

At this rate, the town is in grave danger! In order to protect the town, Hoopa uses its ring to make more Legendary Pokémon “appear”! Along with their new legendary Pokémon allies, will Ash and the gang be able to protect the town? And what is the true identity of this evil power? Legend VS legend! The fiercest battle in Pokémon movie history begins!
