New information has been announced regarding the Love Live! movie. The official title is Love Live! µ’s Go→Go! LoveLive! 2015 ~Dream Sensation!~ and it will be released on June 13.
Love Live! is a new generation idol project by Dengeki G’s Magazine, Lantis, and Sunrise. The story depicts the struggles of female high school students who become idols to save their school, which is on the verge of being closed down. The series caught fire with the broadcast of the first season of the TV anime beginning in January 2013. Season 2 began broadcasting in April 2014. Production on this completely new movie came after the broadcast of the final episode.
The information about the movie released this time was announced at the concert “Love Live! µ’s Go→Go! LoveLive! 2015 ~Dream Sensation!~” held on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. In addition to the movie’s title and release date, a teaser visual was also revealed. The visual is wonderfully impressive. Seeing Honoka and the other members in kimono-style outfits stirs up anticipation for the movie.
News on the first round of sales to begin on Feb. 7 for advance tickets that come with a bonus has also been revealed. Along with a ticket, fans will receive a clear file featuring artwork drawn exclusively for the fan meeting tour “μ’s Fan Meeting Tour 2015~ Anata no Machi de Love Live!~”. There are 10 illustrations total.
In addition to this animated movie, various other new developments are underway for the series as well. The concert “Love Live! µ’s Next Live” has been confirmed. Details are still unknown, but judging from the massive popularity of the recent concert “μ'ｓ Go→Go! LoveLive! 2015,” it’s one we can look forward to.
In other news, the second best-of album, μ's Best Album Best Live! Collection II, will be released on May 27.
