The cross-media series Love Live! which has been developed into anime, music, and more tells the story of a group of nine students who stand up to become idols to save their school, Otonokizaka Academy, from being closed down. A hugely popular aspect of the series in particular is the idol group in the anime, μ’s (pronounced “Muse”). It has now been announced that the members of μ’s will be coming to 10 cities across Japan during their tour “μ’s Fan Meeting Tour 2015 - Love Live! In Your City!” Stops include Tokyo, Nakano, Kanagawa, Yokohama, Chiba, Makuhari, Fukuoka, Nagano, Osaka, Hiroshima, Aichi, Hokkaido, Miyagi, and Sendai. The first show will be on May 30, 2015 at the Nakano Sun Plaza Hall, with the 2-month tour ending on Aug. 9 at the Sendai Sun Plaza Hall.
For the tour, the nine members of μ’s will each be in charge of a different venue. For example, the member in charge of the show at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall is Maki Nishikino, and the member in charge of the show at the Makuhari Event Hall is Eli Ayase. All nine members of μ’s will be together for just two days at the start of the tour, May 30 and 31 at the Nakano Sun Plaza Hall.
The event will consist of a discussion and a mini concert. Also, tickets for the Fan Meeting Tour come as a set with an advance ticket to see the Love Live! movie. The ticket and accompanying bonus clear file each have a specially drawn illustration of the respective member in charge of the show.
Also included in the deluxe edition of the seventh volume of the Love Live! second season Blu-ray is a raffle voucher for an advance ticket to the event. Moreover, as a facet of this promotion, a special promotion will be held in the locations of the fan meeting. The members in charge of each area are also appearing in advertisements and commercials.
We’re in store for a bit of a wait until the event and the release of the movie, which has been announced to be an entirely new work. However, a rebroadcast of the series that fans will be happy about has been confirmed and will begin in January on 10 channels throughout Japan. It will even be playing on channels very familiar to anime fans, including Tokyo MX and BS11. Since the broadcast bundles Seasons 1 and 2 of the TV anime together, it will likely be a good chance to look back on the series as a whole.
