On Nov. 14, funding opened on Cross Crowdfunding, a new shopping platform specialized around anime, games, and anime, for “Cross-CF limited” Sword Art Online Asuna & Kirita and Leafa metal iPhone cases created by the company Sorayume.
Crowdfunding is when funds are gathered from an unspecified number of people over the Internet in order to launch a new project. Supporters are able to reap gifts and certain exclusive services upon the project being fully funded.
Kirito possesses the fastest reflexes of all players in the VRMMO Sword Art Online. Asuna, nicknamed “Flash,” is a sub-leader of the Knights of the Blood Oath. And then there’s the speed-freak Leafa who is in the top five among the races of Alfheim Online when it comes to abilities. A project to carve these three characters onto iPhone cases has begun. The cases will come in two designs: one will feature Asuna and Kirito, and the other Leafa.
