First Showing of the Idolmaster Movie to Happen at Midnight on the Release Day

On Jan. 25, the movie The Idolmaster Movie: To the Other Side of the Light! will begin its countrywide roadshow release at Shinjuku Wald 9. The movie will be screened for the first time anywhere at midnight (JST) on this day.

The Idolmaster began in July 2005 as an arcade-oriented idol producer simulation game. Players become an idol producer and guide girl characters abundant in individuality to become top idols. In addition to the arcade version of the game, there are also home console versions as well as radio shows, TV anime, mobile apps, books, and even events. The series has widely developed will support from many fans (the term Project iM@S is used for cross media developments). The Idolmaster Movie: To the Other Side of the Light! is the long-awaited first movie in the series.

Along with the information on the first screening, a lineup of goods to be sold to moviegoers has been announced. Also, 14 cast members will convene for an hour-long stage greeting called “765 Pro Presents Release Celebration Premium Stage Greeting: To the Other Side of the Light!” that will take place at the first screening at Shinjuku Wald 9. It’s anticipated that this event will also be simulcast in other theaters around the country.
