Pre-Orders Begin for Red and Blue Versions of Framed Pokémon Hanafuda Sets that Each Include Original Gold Plate Showing Pikachu’s Smiling Face

Pre-orders are currently being taken for the “Pokémon Hanafuda Framed Ver. (Red)” and “Pokémon Hanafuda Framed Ver. (Blue)” collector’s items that will be released by Movic on Dec. 26. Each one costs ￥15,855 (tax included).

Included in these framed versions are an original gold plate showing Pikachu’s smiling face and 48 Hanafuda cards showing Pokémon from the Game Boy games Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue*. By the way, a Pokémon Hanafuda set that released in November is also available for ￥2,625 (tax included).

This special framed Hanafuda sets will be sold on Movic’s online site and in Pokémon Centers. However, only the red version will be sold in Pokémon Centers, so take note.
